King Salmon fishing In Alaska
I have been guiding in June and July for King Salmon on the Nushagak River in Alaska for the last 14 Years. The Nusagak is undoubtably the Best King Salmon Fishing in The world. Catches average 30-50 Kings a day per boat and 100 plus days are common. The "Nush" is a remote river accessable only by Floatplane which limits the amount of pressure on it. While fishing we see lots of wildlife. Moose and eagles are everywhere and we see the occassional bear and caribou. Our Boats are the class or the river....22ft Koffer River sleds. Most remote camps in alaska run small little jon boats that you always feel like if you stand up you'll fall out. Because the Nushagak runs through Native lands all camps lease land from the native Corporation and camps must be put in at the beginning of fishing season and taken down at the end. So yes we we are a tent camp. But one like you've never seen before. These aren't pup tents. Large frame 12x12 tents on Hardwood decks with 8 foot high interiors and beds with matreeses make you quite comfortable. Our 3 diesel generators sent power throughout the camp including the full-service kitcken where we serve you 3 high quality meals a day. We have running water provide seperate hot water showers for men and women as well as flush toliets and an alaskan Sauna. See the picture scrap book to see the camp.
